Welcome to Switswoo Ragdolls and Maine Coons.

We are Pamela and Gary Halliday, we live in East Ayrshire in quite a rural location within easy access to numerous seaside towns on the west coast of Scotland and within easy reach of Glasgow.  We have had cats all of our lives and decided to start showing when we had our first pedigree cat in 2010, a gorgeous black British Shorthair girl who we campaigned to a champion, we were bitten by the showing bug and when we were at the shows I always gravitated to the Ragdolls and Maine Coons.  We got our first Ragdoll, Marnie in 2015, quickly followed by our stunning Sophie a year later and began our breeding journey in 2018.  We had previous exprience of breeding, albeit in the canine world, having bred Weimaraners as far back as 2006 and being Kennel Club accredited breedrs.

We are passionate about rearing healthy kittens that confom to the standard of points, but that are first and foremost well socialised, confident, happy kittens that will become much loved family members, as are all of ours.

Our Ragdolls are  Sophie, Gem, Coco, Trudie, Dennis, Hana,Blanco, Button and Crystal

Our Maine Coons are  Caoimhe, Finkle, Blaze, Clover and Suri, Penny, Wendi and Ceridwen. We also have our gorgeous moggy  Bear. These amazing breeds are so sociable and make brilliant family pets. We love showing our cats.  We are members of the GCCF Breeder Scheme, The British Ragdoll Cat Club and The Maine Coon Cat Club.  We also gained our  local authority licence in March 2023.  To be granted our licence we had a vet and an environmental health officer visit our home.  They inspected our record keeping, the environment in which we keep our pets, their diet, their vaccination records and also the health of our pets.  If you are looking to get a registered pet make sure you go to a genuine registered breeder who is also licensed.  It is a legal requirement for breeders in Scotland  (September 2021) to have a licence, if your breeder does not have one, ask them why!  We pride ourselves in raising healthy happy kittens, for healthy happy homes.
